Add or Update Insurance Information

Follow the steps below to add or update your prescription drug insurance.

Add or Update Insurance Online:
  1. Sign in to your Sam's Club Pharmacy account in the app or visit Samsclub.com/Pharmacy.
  2. Verify your 4-digit PIN or use biometrics if available.
  3. Select Pharmacy Account from the top navigation.
  4. Select Prescription Insurance from the submenu.
  5. On the My Insurance screen, select Add Insurance for the patient you want to add or update.
  6. Sam's Club will automatically search for your insurance details.
    • If no new insurance is found, you can enter the details manually if needed.
  7. Select the insurance plan you want to add.
  8. Select Continue
  9. If there are other active insurance plans on file, you’ll be asked whether the new insurance should be used as the patient’s primary coverage.
    • Select this option if the new coverage is replacing the current coverage on file, such as when the old coverage is expiring.
  10. Choose Yes to make the new coverage primary or select Skip
    • If you select Skip, the new coverage will still be added. However, any new prescriptions sent to the pharmacy will continue to use the current primary insurance on file.

You can also update insurance during any online refill or transfer request. Select Add or Change Insurance before submitting the request, then follow the prompts.
