Manage Family Prescriptions
You can add adults (18+ years), minors (under 18), and pets to your Sam's Club Pharmacy account to manage their prescriptions.
- Adults 18 and older must have an account with a unique email attached and an eligible membership to manage or share access to prescriptions.
- If your prescriptions are managed by a Sam’s Club member with an available Complimentary Membership, they can add you as their complimentary at no additional cost. If complimentary membership is not available, you’ll need an Add-On, Guest, Club or Plus membership to continue.
Select Sign in or Create Account to get started and view your available membership options.
Step 1: Verify your account:
- If your Sam's Club account is not verified for online pharmacy access, you must add pharmacy access first.
Step 2: Add a family member (adult, child, or pet):
- Go to the Sam's Club Pharmacy website via Samsclub.com/pharmacy or select Services > Pharmacy in the app.
- Select Sign In or Create account.
- Enter your registered email address phone number.
- This should match what your pharmacy store has on file.
- Choose a sign in method: text verification code, email verification code, or enter password.
- Enter your 4-digit PIN.
- You may use face recognition or fingerprint to bypass PIN if you have previously enabled biometrics.
- Scroll down and select Mange family members.
- Select Add a family member.
- Select a method to add family member and follow on screen instructions:
- Scan a Sam's Club Rx barcode – scanning the family member’s rx label or manually entering the data from the family members rx. (Requires that you have access to the prescription number and store number.)
- Phone number lookup – enter your phone number to add any family member who receives pharmacy text notifications on that number. You will be required to enter an OTP (one time password) sent to your phone.
- Add via insurance – provide the family member’s insurance details and demographic information.
- Verify family member’s Date of Birth (DOB) for a minor and select Confirm.
- If this is a pet check This family member is a pet.
- Verify family member’s Date of Birth (DOB) and email for an adult.
- For an adult with an existing Pharmacy profile, the email will be pre-filled.
- For an adult without an existing Pharmacy profile, email will need to be added.
- Select Send request for an adult family member.
Step 3: Approve request to manage adult dependent prescriptions:
When adding an adult (18+) to a Sam's Club Pharmacy account, the adult must approve the Pending Request in their Sam's Club Pharmacy account before access is granted.
An adult without an existing Sam's Club Pharmacy online account will click the link in the request email and follow the instructions on the screen to create an account. The request to be managed will appear after account creation.
An adult with an existing Sam's Club Pharmacy online account should sign into their account to approve the management request.
- Select link in request email or go to the Sam's Club Pharmacy website via Samsclub.com/pharmacy or select Services > Pharmacy in the app.
- Select Sign in or Create account.
- Enter your registered phone number or email address.
- This should match what your pharmacy store has on file.
- Choose a sign in method: text verification code, email verification code, or enter password.
- Enter your 4-digit PIN.
- You may use face recognition or fingerprint to bypass PIN if you have previously enabled biometrics.
- Find the Pending request dialog on your pharmacy dashboard.
- Select Accept to allow your requesting family member to manage your prescriptions.
- Select Decline if you do not want the requesting family member to have access to manage your prescriptions.
