What if I purchased without tax exempt status?
If you have already purchased and aren't registered as tax exempt or didn't select tax exempt while purchasing, you have a couple options.
- First, you must apply and be approved for Tax Exempt status by Sam's Club
- After your Tax Exempt status is approved, you will be refunded based on the purchasing channel:
- Club or Pickup orders: must be refunded by that club location
- Dotcom: please contact us after the order has shipped for a refund
- Apply for Tax Exempt status by visiting the Club Membership Desk with state approved documentation
NOTE: Everyone on a Tax Exempt Membership can purchase tax exempt unless the Primary has removed their access.
